Hi all,

Well, I’ve done it again. Scott Greenwold from Southern Wine and Spirits is going to do the presentations the next two weeks. That is Friday, Sep 28th, and then again on Friday, Oct 5th. He has some ideas about what we are going to taste but I won’t know for sure until tomorrow. Rest assured that the wines will be as good as always and he will be as entertaining as always. Hope you can make it.

The presentation will start promptly at 6:00 PM. Remember this “ain’t LA” (thank goodness) so don’t be late. The wine class costs $10 per person and all the featured wines are 10% off. For the money you get to try the wines during the wine class and compliment them with the best food in the valley at any wine tasting. We have been having larger than expected crowds again so we are limiting attendance to 45 guests.

We are going to try something different on Wednesday, the 10th of October, starting at 6:30. We are going to do a flight of La Crema Appellation Series Pinot Noirs (Russian River, Carneros and Anderson Valley). These are three of the nicest Pinots you will ever taste and they are priced about $30 per bottle. Oh, the tasting is free, too.

Please take notice if you didn’t catch this last couple of weeks. We are going to present The First Annual Wine Challenge on Sunday the 30th of September. We will donate one dollar for each of the first 100 bottles purchased between 3 & 5 PM to the Santa’s Secret Shopper (that is where Linda makes Christmas for some young mothers). I hear that someone has come forward and will donate $2 per bottle for the second 100 bottles. The first 20 people to purchase a bottle will get a lovely wine gift bag from Lisa T’s Party Shop. Divine Wines is helping out too. And there will be door prizes and pizza from Oscars. You can still get 10% off if you buy a case. Get a jump on your holiday wine shopping and help out some needy kids.

Just a reminder that we have Leo Cox’s White Merlot from Charron Vineyards in stock.

If you haven’t been in lately, we have a HDTV up in the corner and it will be tuned into the NFL game on Sundays. Come by for a glass and cheer a bit for your team.

Keep smiling,

Liza and Bob
