Hi all,

WINE TASTING – Ron Fescko from Republic National Distribution Company is going to show us Wines from South America this Friday, September 26th. We are going to taste 4 Malbecs, a Carmenere and a red blend. Yes, nothing but reds!

The presentation Friday will start promptly at 6:00 PM. Remember this “ain’t LA” (thank goodness) so don’t be late. The wine class costs $10 per person and all the featured wines are 10% off. For the money you get to try the wines during the wine class and compliment them with the best food at any wine class in the state. We are limiting the class size to 45.

MUSIC – Another great night of jazz is coming! Bob Ravenscroft is back from Colorado so he will be on the piano and Dwight Kilian will be on the stand up bass on this Saturday, September 20th at 6 PM until 8:30 PM. You will be impressed! Remember that there is no cover and no minimum. Just come in and listen to some really talented musicians play some really great jazz.

OTHER – We have some free tickets for the Home & Landscape Show on September 26th thru 28th. There’re by the cash register.

On Sunday September 28th we’re having a Wine Class at 4 PM to raise some money for the Arizona Breast Cancer 3-Day walk team called “Team Walking On”. For $20 you get to try 5 wines with some cheese and fruit. There’ll be raffle prizes and a 50/50 drawing for some great prizes.

Then on Sunday October 5th we’ll have the Second Annual Wine Challenge. For every bottle of wine sold between 4 & 5 PM we will contribute a dollar to Linda’s Santa’s Secret Shoppers. She has been helping out a shelter for years and this is a good way to help her raise some money. Hope to see you then!

We’re still investigating going GREEN! We’re going to sell some wine totes at cost (with our logo on them so you won’t forget). Then each time you use one on a purchase of two or more bottles we’ll deduct 25¢ from your bill. You won’t get rich but you’ll help the environment a little. They’re on order and will be here soon.

We have the new edition of the publication called Arizona Vines and Wines. It is free, has a lot of information and is beautifully done. Look for it by the cash register next time you check out.

We have WiFi available in the shop if you’d like to use it. Just ask for the password.

Have fun,
Liza and Bob
