Hi all,
WINE TASTING – None this week! With the holiday, a mixed up delivery schedule and Liza in the Philippines, things just didn’t work out for a class this Friday, Sep 5.
Scott Greenwold of Southern Wines was originally scheduled to do the class and I was supposed to ask you what wines you want him to show. Of course I forgot but I’m doing it now. Please send me an email to eel55@qwest.net with your favorite wine, a wine you have never had but have always wanted to try or whatever wine you would like to taste. We’ll get a list together for his next class in October.
Kent Schilling, the artist and winery owner than was here a year ago, will be back on Sep 12th. He has some really great wines!
I’m going to be in Minneapolis on the 19th in conjunction with my “other” job so there will not be a wine class that Friday.
MUSIC – Another great night of jazz is coming! Bryne Donaldson will be back with his sax on his regularly scheduled first Saturday of the month. That is September 6th. You will be impressed! Remember that there is no cover and no minimum. Just come in and listen to some really talented musicians play some really great jazz.
THANKS – Thanks to all of you that came by on Friday. The wine class was almost a sell out so everyone got in.
OTHER – We have an unwritten policy to just send out a single email per week. But sometimes some people forget that there is music on Saturday from the email the previous Sunday. Last week I asked if anyone objected and all the responses I got were that a reminder wasn’t a bad idea. So I’ll send out a reminder email later in the week so you’ll know that Bryne will be here on Saturday.
We’re investigating going GREEN! We’re going to sell some wine totes at cost (with our logo on them so you won’t forget). Then each time you use one on a purchase of two or more bottles we’ll deduct 50¢ from your bill. You won’t get rich but you’ll help the environment a little.
We have WiFi available in the shop if you’d like to use it. Just ask for the password.
Have fun,
Liza and Bob
