Hi all,
Carol from Valley of the Sun Distributing will be doing the presentation at the wine class this week (Friday, November 2nd). She is a “Presentation Virgin” (almost) so please be on your best behavior. She’s going to show us wines from the Central Coast of California including an organic pinot gris, a wonderful white blend called Eccelstone, a reasonably priced Pinot Noir, the Kenton Syrah, a blend from Peachy Canyon and a late harvest Viognier from Cambria as a finisher. It should be great!
The presentation will start promptly at 6:00 PM. Remember this “ain’t LA” (thank goodness) so don’t be late. The wine class costs $10 per person and all the featured wines are 10% off. For the money you get to try the wines during the wine class and compliment them with the best food in the valley at any wine tasting. We have been having larger than expected crowds again so we are limiting attendance to 45 guests.
Great news! Chef Jimmy of Scott’s Place has agreed to prepare the food at one wine class a month. That will give Liza a break and you can taste some of his wonderful fare on a regular basis. His next appearance is going to be on November 9th when Lena from 4inWines is going to show us some great Rieslings. Mark your calendars!
Thanks to everyone that came by to listen to Jason and try some of the wines from Alliance Beverage. Judging from the sales there were several wines that we’ll be keeping.
The La Crema Pinot Noir from Anderson Valley is now in stock. New too are three wines from Oak Creek Vineyards and Winery. We have the Chardonnay (which is real clean and flavorful), the Petite Verdot (very big and very good) and the Zin port (done in a less alcohol and less residual sugar style). We’ve started carrying Sole Mineral waters, both the still and the sparkling. And if you haven’t been in lately, we have a HDTV up in the corner and it will be tuned into the NFL game on Sundays. And we’re watching the World Series too. Come by for a glass and cheer a bit for your team.
Keep smiling,
Liza and Bob
