Hi all,

WINE TASTING – No wine class this Friday, October 30th. So we’re going to have a Halloween Party! And we know that it is a day early. There will be wine specials for those wearing a costume and a prize for the best costume. And there will finger foods too! Things should kick off about 6 PM.

MUSIC – We finally have the music thing worked out. Sax man Bryne Donaldson will here on the first Saturday in November, the 7th. Then Rootdown is coming back on December 5th. That is the first Saturday in December so it keeps the routine going. We hope to see you at both performances.

THANKS – Mona Riedel from Southern Wine and Spirits introduced us to the redtree wines. They were good across the board and priced right. Thanks to her and thanks to you!

Chef Stuart Epstein prepared a wonderful four course dinner and conducted a television worthy cooking demo on Saturday. Thanks to him and Janet for a great time! And thanks to all of you that took part. You can see a few pictures of the event here.

THINGS TO DO – On November 22 in the Phoenix Historic Railroad Park at the Farm on South Mountain, there is going to be the Arizona Wine Growers Festival. For more info go to http://www.azwinefestivalatthefarm.com/ .

WORLD RECORD – Erica held the world, well at least Cave Creek Wines, record for breaking two glasses in one evening. I am now the record holder having broken two glasses at one time!

OTHER – We’re going to continue to continue to participate in the program called Taste of the NFL through the end of the year (maybe through the Super Bowl). Come and pick up one or more of the featured wines and you can help out too. 2-1/2 meals will be served at St Mary’s Food Bank for each bottle sold.

There is a local guy that takes our empty wine bottles and turns them into recycled wine bottle glasses. They look great, are now dishwasher safe and help the environment. We have them for sale in sets of four, with or without our logo, for $20.

We have always given a discount of 10% if you buy a case (12 bottles) of wine. Now you get the discount when you buy only 6 bottles.

Help us save a tree! We have wine bags for sale at $2.50 that will hold up to 6 bottles of wine. When you use it for two bottles or more we will give you a 25¢ discount.

You may have noticed that we have some wines on sale up at the front of the shop. These are excellent wines that are the older vintage or one that we can’t get more of or such. And you can save a few bucks off our already great prices. Of course the selection is always changing.

We have WiFi available in the shop if you’d like to use it. Just ask for the password.

Have fun,
Liza and Bob
