Hi all,

WINE TASTING – Cindy Short, from Wanderlust Wines, is going to do the wine class this Friday, March 13th. We’re going to concentrate on the best value wines we can find. We’re looking at doing the Vin du Luc Pinot Gris from Washington, The Townsend White (a blend), the Hyatt Merlot, the Substance Syrah, the Tagaris Kikkimo Red and then finish with the Eliseo Silva Cabernet Sauvignon.

The presentation Friday will start promptly at 6:00 PM. Remember this “ain’t LA” (thank goodness) so don’t be late. The wine class costs $10 per person and all the featured wines are 10% off. For the money you get to try the wines during the wine class and compliment them with the best food at any wine class in the state. We are limiting the class size to 45.

If you can’t make it before 5:45 or so please remember that you can reserve (as pay in advance for a place before Friday) a place in the class by purchasing a ticket for $20 any time during the week.

MUSIC – Thanks to Bryne Donaldson and his sax for another wonderful night of free music last night. He really rocked the house! The music always starts at 7 PM on the first Saturday of each month.

TRIP – It looks like the wine trip this year is going to Lodi on August 14 thru 17. Let me know if you are interested so I can contact the hotel with some numbers. Lodi is best known for some great ancient vine Zins but have a bunch of other great wines at more affordable prices too. More info to follow.

THANKS – We had a sold out wine class for Mark Stern. Even if he did talk too much it was a very informative class. Thanks to him and thanks to all of you that showed up. And our apologies to those that didn’t get in.

OTHER – Heather is going to do another Fine Wines and Facials on Wednesday, April 22nd. Mark your calendars!

Tom Garrett has set up a couple of “Wine Cruises” for us. These are 12 night and 11 night cruises at the end of September and the beginning of October for around $1,000. We have a brochure by the cash register with the details.

There is a local guy that takes our empty wine bottles and turns them into recycled wine bottle glasses. They look great, are now dishwasher safe and help the environment. We have them for sale in sets of four, with or without our logo, for $20.

There is an Arizona Wine Club. Visit www.azvinowineclub.com to join. You can get three Arizona wines shipped to you or you can pick them up at our shop three times a year.

We have always given a discount of 10% if you buy a case (12 bottles) of wine. Now you get the discount when you buy only 6 bottles.

You may have noticed that we have some wines on sale up at the front of the shop. These are excellent wines that are the older vintage or one that we can’t get more of or such. And you can save a few bucks off our already great prices.

We have WiFi available in the shop if you’d like to use it. Just ask for the password.

There is a wine locker available for rent by the month ($7) or by the year ($84).

Have fun,
Liza and Bob
