Hi all,

Psychic Night is coming on the 24th of March.

WINE TASTING – Mark from Quench Fine Wines will be presenting an eclectic mix of wines on Friday, March 5th. From Arizona Stronghold (Eric Glomski’s Vineyard) we’ll try the Tazi, the Mangus and the Nachise. From Chile we’ll taste the Ventisquero Pinot Noir and Carmenere. And then we’ll conclude with the Klinker Brick Zinfandel.

The presentation Friday will start promptly at 6:00 PM. Remember this “ain’t LA” (thank goodness) so don’t be late. The wine class costs $10 per person and all the featured wines are 10% off. For the money you get to try the wines during the wine class (usually six) and complement them with the best food at any wine class in the state. We are limiting attendance to the first 45 people.

Lena will have a new shipment of Rieslings to show us on March 26th. She was in Germany for most of January tasting the new vintages. The best are now on a boat headed this way. Mark your calendars and plan to show up early as she always draws a full house.

MUSIC – Bryne Donaldson and his sax will be back this Saturday, March 6th. He plays a great mix of music that everyone can enjoy. Remember there are no cover and no minimum drink purchase.

And then on the 17th of April Root Down is back. As a quartet their jazzy style is always a crowd pleaser. We hope to see you at both musical events.

NEW WINES – We have the Duckhorn Napa Valley Merlot, for which they are famous, more than a “Fistful of Dollars” less than our neighborhood big box store. Speaking of values, we also have an Italian Sangiovese, the grape in Chianti, that is great at $13.99 and a California Claret, a Cabernet based blend, at $12.99.

THANKS – We certainly appreciated Ron Feczko presenting the St Francis wines and thanks to all of you that attended the class.

COMING SOON – Things are starting clear up in my crystal ball and I see a Psychic Night coming soon. It will be on a Wednesday, the 24th of March. Is that Jamie Clark from TV’s “America’s Psychic Challenge” I see? More info will be available when the fog lifts some more.

Kief-Joshua Vineyards is having a festival down in Sonoita on May 1 & 2. We’ll have a few complimentary tickets in the next week or so. Let us know if you are interested in attending.

OTHER – We have the newest issue (Winter 2009) of Arizona Vines and Wines. There is lots of great information about the state’s wineries and is free!

We have always given a discount of 10% if you buy a case (12 bottles) of wine. Now you get the discount when you buy only 6 bottles.

You may have noticed that we have some wines on sale up at the front of the shop. These are excellent wines that are the older vintage or one that we can’t get more of or such. And you can save a few bucks off our already great prices. Of course the selection is always changing.

We have WiFi available in the shop if you’d like to use it. Just ask for the password.

Have fun,
Liza and Bob
