More than thirty years ago on one of my first trips to Napa I visited the Charles Krug Winery and loved it. I still have the refrigerator magnet I picked up then. So we are going to feature them at our last wine class of the year on Friday, December 15th. Another reason we are going to feature them is that Liza told me we were after they tasted her on their wines. Scott Greenwold from Southern Wine is going to do the presentation but he told me there was going to be a big surprise.
Rootdown will be back on December 14th! That is this Thursday. They’ll start at 6 PM and finish before 9. Their web site is www.rootdown-az.com which they have updated so you might want to check it out. Modern technology being what it is you can actually listen them play just by showing up at the site. Pretty neat!
Liza is doing Wine Baskets for the holidays again. You select the wine or wines and she does the cheese, the crackers, the chocolates and other goodies in a pretty basket for as little as $20 more. Or you could just buy a Gift Certificate and let them choose the wine.
