Hi all,

WINE TASTING – Matt Morris of the Wanderlust Trading Company is going to present some of their Northwest Wines this Friday, August 29th. Since we can’t get away for Labor Day we’re going to share some really good wines with the rest of you that are in town too. We’ll start with a Sauvignon Blanc and a Pinot Gris (from Eliseo Silva and Cooper Hill, respectively) before a white blend from Helix called Aspersa. Of course there’ll be some reds including a Syrah from Roza Ridge. Then we’ll finish with a Merlot from Randall Harris and a Cuvee from Hightower Murray.

The presentation Friday will start promptly at 6:00 PM. Remember this “ain’t LA” (thank goodness) so don’t be late. The wine class costs $10 per person and all the featured wines are 10% off. For the money you get to try the wines during the wine class and compliment them with the best food at any wine class in the state. We are limiting the class size to 45.

MUSIC – Another great night of jazz is coming! Bryne Donaldson will be back with his sax on his regularly scheduled first Saturday of the month. That is September 6th. You will be impressed! Remember that there is no cover and no minimum. Just come in and listen to some really talented musicians play some really great jazz.

THANKS – Thanks to all of you that came by on Friday and Saturday. The Friday wine class was sell out so our apologies to those that didn’t get in. And Ron’s Zins were great on Saturday and everyone forgave him for being late since the tasting was free.

OTHER – There are a couple of available wine lockers, both the one case and the two case sizes. The smaller size rents for $7/mo or $84/yr. When you rent for the year we put your name (or something) on the locker.

We have an unwritten policy to just send out a single email per week. But sometimes some people forget that there is music on Saturday from the email the previous Sunday. Would you object to receiving a second short email on Friday as a reminder of music on Saturday?

We’re investigating going GREEN! We’re going to sell some wine totes at cost (with our logo on them so you won’t forget). Then each time you use one on a purchase of two or more bottles we’ll deduct 50¢ from your bill. You won’t get rich but you’ll help the environment a little.

We have WiFi available in the shop if you’d like to use it. Just ask for the password.

Have fun,
Liza and Bob
