Hi all,

Tony from Billington Wines is going to be in this Friday, August 24th, to present some of his wines. While the class is going to have a South American theme, there are going to be a couple of wines from California, a really nice Sauvignon Blanc and an affordable Syrah. From Chile there is a chardonnay and a big cab while from Argentina we’ll try a Merlot and another Syrah. Great wines at nice prices. No class on the 31st.

The presentation will start promptly at 6:00 PM. Remember this “ain’t LA” (thank goodness) so don’t be late. The wine class costs $10 per person and all the featured wines are 10% off. For the money you get to try the wines during the wine class and compliment them with the best food in the valley at any wine tasting.

We have been having larger than expected crowds lately so we are limiting attendance to 45 guests. We had more than that show up on last Friday so please don’t wait for the last minute. I got some good jokes in response to my request last week. You’ll enjoy them over the next few weeks.

Thanks to Jason and Tom from Alliance beverage for the class last Friday on Glen Carlou and Peter Lehmann wines. They were really good.

And thanks to everyone that came to hear Bryne Donaldson do his magic with a saxophone. He was great and we managed to raise some money for one of Linda’s charities.

One of our favorite customers and friend is raising money to go on the Arizona Breast Cancer 3 Day Walk in November. We are trying to help out by collecting donations for her. For a $20 donation we will give you a “Save the Boobies, Save the World” t-shirt. You can see the shirt hanging up in our shop.

We’ve gotten a lot of pictures from the trip to Paso and I’ll be getting Rick to have a link or something on the web site so you can see them soon. It was a lot of fun and we tried some really good wines.

Keep smiling,

Liza and Bob
