Hi all,
On Friday, April 27th, Troy from Republic Beverage is going to present the Steele Wines. Liza and I tasted through them a couple of weeks ago and they were wonderful. There is a complete line of reds and whites so everyone should be happy.
The presentation will start promptly at 6:00 PM. Remember this “ain’t LA” (thank goodness) so don’t be late. The wine class cost $10 per person and all the featured wines are 10% off. For the money you get to try the wines during the wine class and compliment them with the best food in the valley at any wine tasting.
Thanks to everyone that came by last Friday to listen to Craig and myself. There were many people that told me it was the most fun they had had at a wine event ever. And a special thanks to Craig for being so professional and for making it so much fun!
There are a couple of wine lockers available if you need to store some of your overflow. Under the bed only works for so long.
There is still room for you that want to go to Paso Robles with us in August. For $1060 you get round trip airfare, ground transportation, hotel accommodations (double occupancy) for three nights (August 10, 11 & 12), wine tasting and touring, full breakfasts each day and lunches on Saturday and Sunday. We will need a deposit of $300 soon with the balance due by June 15th. Let us know.
Keep smiling,
Liza and Bob
Rick and I were very happy with the Rosenblum Cellars presentation last Friday, 4/20. Both Bob and Craig did an excellent job and the joke-off was quite entertaining.
The wines overall got an ave 4.2 on a 1-5 scale with us.
Chateau La Paws Cote du Bone Blanc 2005: 3.6
Chateau La Paws Cote du Bone Roan 2005: 4.2
Cellars Vintners Cuvee Syrah 2004: 4.1
Cellars San Francisco Bay Zin 2005: 4.4 (Jess Fav)
Cellars Paso Robles Bay Zin 2005: 4.4
Cellars Heritage Clones Petite Sirah 2005: 4.6 (Rick Fav)
Thanks CCW for another great class and tasting!
