Hi all,

WINE TASTING – Scott Greenwold from Southern Wine will do the wine class this Friday, August 8th. We have decided to showcase some of the excellent wines and wineries that we missed in Sonoma on the wine trip last weekend. The wineries are Dry Creek, Simi, Foppiano, Sebastiani, Ridge and Ferrari Carano. It should be fun!

The presentation Friday will start promptly at 6:00 PM. Remember this “ain’t LA” (thank goodness) so don’t be late. The wine class costs $10 per person and all the featured wines are 10% off. For the money you get to try the wines during the wine class and compliment them with the best food at any wine class in the state. Chef Jimmy from Scott’s Place will be preparing the food. We are limiting the class size to 45.

MUSIC – Another great night of jazz is coming! Bob Ravenscroft on piano and Dwight Kilian on bass, as Inner Journeys, will play next on Saturday, August 16th at 6 PM until 8:30 PM. No cover and no minimum. Just come in and listen to some really talented musicians.

THANKS – Bryne Donaldson and his sax(es) are always good to listen to but last night he introduced us to some new stuff and he was fantastic! He will be back on Saturday, September 6th. And thanks to all of you that came by too.

And another special “THANK YOU” to Kim, Mark, Rene, Eugene and Kate for watching the shop while we were away in Sonoma. They did a great job and we couldn’t have gone without them.

OTHER – If you have ever seen our beautiful business cards they are from PDQ Printers just down Cave Creek Road. And they are PDQ too. They are conducting a “Sleeping Bag, Blanket and Hooded Sweatshirt drive” for homeless kids in Maricopa County. If you have any of those items or school supplies you can drop them off at 14644 N Cave Creek Road and feel really good about helping out.

We have WiFi available in the shop if you’d like to use it. Just ask for the password.

We have a new edition of the publication called Arizona Vines and Wines. It has a lot of information and is beautifully done. Look for it by the cash register next time you check out.

Have fun,
Liza and Bob
