Happy Thanksgiving,
WINE TASTING – The next wine class will be on Friday, December 4th. Mona, from Southern Wines, will taste us on the David Bruce Santa Cruz Mountain Pinot Noir, the Steel Ridge Zinfandel from Dry Creek and Fetish, a Barossa Shiraz from the same winery that makes Gunslingers. We’ll have some other wines too but we haven’t decided on them yet.
At that wine class we are going to have the “WORST CHRISTMAS OUTFIT” contest. As in ugly! The winner will get the right to buy an excellent bottle of wine for 25¢. We have to be legal with these things.
The presentation Friday will start promptly at 6:00 PM. Remember this “ain’t LA” (thank goodness) so don’t be late. The wine class costs $10 per person and all the featured wines are 10% off. For the money you get to try the wines during the wine class (usually six) and compliment them with the best food at any wine class in the state. We are limiting attendance to the first 45 people.
ITALIAN DINNER & RAFFLE – Linda is going to have an Italian Dinner on Thursday, December 10th to benefit Santa’s Secret Shoppers. Of course there will be pasta and meat or Alfredo sauce but also breads, salad, a relish tray and a special dessert. You get all that and a glass of Italian wine for $15.
There will be prizes and a silent auction too! You will get all that and get to feel great about helping some girls that certainly could use the help at Christmas time. Reserve your spot now for a 5:00 PM or 6:00 PM seating.
RIESLING – We always carry a nice selection of Rieslings, mostly from Germany. These are great wines for the Holidays.
MUSIC – Rootdown is coming back on December 5th. You will love their up beat jazz style. Then sax man Bryne Donaldson will be back on the second Saturday in January, the 9th. Note that the 9th isn’t the usual first Saturday for live music. We hope to see you at both performances.
Have fun,
Liza and Bob

Hi all,

WINE TASTING – There will not be a wine class on the 27th as I will be in Spokane with my mother. Liza will be running the show like she always does and would appreciate the company if you can drop by. Mona will be back on Friday, December 4th for the next wine class. She has most of the wines picked out and I’m sure you will enjoy them.
RIESLING – We always carry a nice selection of Rieslings, mostly from Germany. These are great wines for Thanksgiving!
MUSIC – Rootdown is coming back on December 5th. You will love their up beat jazz style. Then sax man Bryne Donaldson will be back on the second Saturday in January, the 9th. Note that the 9th isn’t the usual first Saturday for live music. We hope to see you at both performances.
THANKS – Kurt deserves a big THANK YOU for presenting some wonderful wines. And certainly “thank you” for coming and making the wine class so much fun.
OTHER – We’re going to continue to continue to participate in the program called Taste of the NFL through the end of the year (maybe through the Super Bowl). Come and pick up one or more of the featured wines and you can help out too. 2-1/2 meals will be served at St Mary’s Food Bank for each bottle sold.
There is a local guy that takes our empty wine bottles and turns them into recycled wine bottle glasses. They look great, are now dishwasher safe and help the environment. We have them for sale in sets of four, with or without our logo, for $20.
We have always given a discount of 10% if you buy a case (12 bottles) of wine. Now you get the discount when you buy only 6 bottles.
Help us save a tree! We have wine bags for sale at $2.50 that will hold up to 6 bottles of wine. When you use it for two bottles or more we will give you a 25¢ discount.
You may have noticed that we have some wines on sale up at the front of the shop. These are excellent wines that are the older vintage or one that we can’t get more of or such. And you can save a few bucks off our already great prices. Of course the selection is always changing.
We have WiFi available in the shop if you’d like to use it. Just ask for the password.
Have fun,
Liza and Bob

The reds will include Concha y Toro Marques Syrah from Chile, Peter Lehman’s Clancy from Australia and a mighty fine Merlot from Duckhorn. And the prices are great too!

For the money you get to try the wines during the wine class (usually six) and compliment them with the best food at any wine class in the state. We are limiting attendance to the first 45 people, even if it hasn’t been an issue lately.

Or we could taste some really great wines at some really great prices? One guess which we chose!
