Hi all,
WHEW!!! Just got back from Sonoma and another great trip with a bunch of great people. We tasted some spectacular wines and generally had a fine time.
WINE TASTING – None this Friday! Scott Greenwold from Southern Wine will do the next wine class on Friday, August 8th. We haven’t decided on the list yet but will soon.
MUSIC – Bryne Donaldson’s next gig will be this Saturday, Aug 2nd at 6 PM until 8:30 PM. No cover and no minimum. Just come in and listen to some really great sax.
THANKS – And the most special “THANK YOU” to Kim, Mark, Rene, Eugene and Kate for watching the shop while we were away. They did a great job and we couldn’t have gone without them.
OTHER – We have WiFi available in the shop if you’d like to use it. Just ask for the password.
We have a new edition of the publication called Arizona Vines and Wines. It has a lot of information and is beautifully done. Look for it by the cash register next time you check out.
Have fun,
Liza and Bob

Hi all,
WINE TASTING – The Sonoma Trip is coming up on the 25th so we’re going to get ready! This Friday, July 18th, Ron Feczko of Republic National is going to show us some of the wines and wineries we will be tasting and visiting. From Coppola will start with the sparkling wine called Sofia and finish with a great cab called Director’s Cut. From Benziger we’ll try their Sauvignon Blanc and their Merlot. And somewhere in there we’ll taste the Le Baron Ranch Petite Sirah and Zin. You that aren’t coming on the trip are welcome too!
The presentation Friday will start promptly at 6:00 PM. Remember this “ain’t LA” (thank goodness) so don’t be late. The wine class costs $10 per person and all the featured wines are 10% off. For the money you get to try the wines during the wine class and compliment them with the best food at any wine class in the state. We are limiting the class size to 45.
MUSIC – Bob and Dwight are playing in Colorado (not Chicago like I said last week) this Saturday, July 19, so pianist Jacob Koller (remember him from when he sat in for Bob Ravenscroft a couple of months ago?) will play with bassist Chris Finet on the 19th. No cover and no minimum. Just come in and listen to some really great jazz. They’ll start at 6 PM and finish at 8:30.
THANKS – Bryne Donaldson rocked the house last night with his sax! Thanks to him and thanks to you that came by. His next gig will be Saturday, August 2nd at 6 PM. Mark your calendars!
WINE TRIP – The 3rd Annual Cave Creek Wines Wine Trip is full and we are leaving on July 25th so there will not be a wine class that Friday.
NEW – We’ve got a terrific new wine for us from Beaulieu Vineyards. It is their 2004 Reserve Tapestry and is tasting great!

Hi all,
WINE TASTING – Craig is back! This Friday, July 11th, he will be talking about an eclectic mix of wines. We actually have had a chance to make the selections and decided on a Prosecco to start. Then we’ll try a wonderful chard from Hawkes, a mystery wine (I wonder what it will be) and then the Mosen Cleto (yes, the one we’ve had and loved before). To finish we’ll try a pair of great wines – the Duende Tempranillo and the Waters Interlude. It should be fun!
