Hi all,
WINE TASTING – Scott is back! This Friday, June 27th, he will be talking about an eclectic mix of wines. We’ll start with an Italian Prosecco (is there some other kind?), then try the Franciscan SB (Sauvignon Blanc), taste the Essr Pinot Noir, move on to the 7 daughters Red (remember how good their white was?), and conclude with the Turnbull Red or the Stratton Lummis Cab (decisions, decisions).
The presentation Friday will start promptly at 6:00 PM. Remember this “ain’t LA” (thank goodness) so don’t be late. The wine class costs $10 per person and all the featured wines are 10% off. For the money you get to try the wines during the wine class and compliment them with the best food at any wine class in the state. We are limiting the class size to 45.
MUSIC – Another great night of jazz is coming! Bob Ravenscroft and Dwight Kilian, Inner Journeys, will play on this Saturday, June 28th at 6 PM until 8:30 PM. No cover and no minimum. Just come in and listen to some really talented musicians. Bryne Donaldson’s next gig will be on the 12th of July rather than the usual first Saturday of the month (because of the 4th).
If you haven’t been in lately we have moved, kicking and screaming, into the 21st century. After months of promises we finally purchased an I-pod and Eugene has programmed it with countless hours of great jazz with a few “Easter Eggs” thrown in for good measure. So we’re not listening to the radio any more!
SPECIAL – The Neighborhood Weight Loss Challenge meets on Wednesday at 10:45 AM. This will be a 12 week class on nutrition and weight loss. The cost is $29 that will be “won” by the three biggest “losers”. The class will meet once a week at the wine shop. It should be fun and friendly.
THANKS – We certainly do appreciate your support at the Friday Wine Classes and the other things we do. Thanks to Ron Fescko for presenting the class on Friday, thanks to Chef Jimmy for making Saturday so special and thanks to Priscilla for raising some money for Habitat for Humanity.
WINE TRIP – The 3rd Annual Cave Creek Wines Wine Trip is full
OTHER – We have WiFi available in the shop if you’d like to use it. Just ask for the password.

Hi all,
WINE TASTING – I think Bob Piotrowski did our first wine class almost 5 years ago. Since then he has had a bunch of changes (all for the better) in his professional life and now he is back to do another one. This will be an Around the World tasting. Italian Prosecco, French (yes that is right) Sparkling Rose, Portuguese Vinho Verde, Argentine Malbec, Chilean Cab and an Italian Chianti will all be tasted. Bob only has the best palate I’ve ever seen so this should be great.
We had a full house and my apologies to those we had to turn away.
FUNDRAISER – Priscilla Copeland is putting on a “Sip and Shop” at our shop on Sunday, June 22nd from 2 PM to 4 PM. She will have a beautiful line of Sterling Silver Jewelry for sale and 100% of the proceeds will go to Habitat for Humanity. Please come by, have a glass of wine and some free appetizers while you get something pretty for yourself and help out a worthy organization.
MUSIC – Bryne Donaldson will play this coming Saturday, the 14th. Then Bob Ravenscroft and Dwight Kilian will play on the 28th. No cover and no minimum. Just come in and listen to some really talented musicians.
If you haven’t been in lately we have moved into the 21st century, finally. After months of promises we finally purchased an I-pod and Eugene has programmed it with countless hours of great jazz with a few “Easter Eggs” thrown in for good measure. So we’re not listening to the radio any more!
THANKS – Christy brought in some great wines last Friday at some great prices. We have been carrying The Other for awhile so some of you knew about it but now more of you know about the Malbec and the Petite Sirah.
WINE TRIP – The 3rd Annual Cave Creek Wines Wine Trip is full!
OTHER – We have WiFi available in the shop if you’d like to use it. Just ask for the password.

Hi all,
WINE TASTING – Christy from Action Wine is going to do her first presentation this Friday, June 6th. And we’re going to try lots of reds! We’ll feature the wines from the Peirano Estate Vineyards in Lodi. They make lots of great wines but the ones we’ll try are the Viognier for a white and then the Merlot, the Malbec, the Petite Syrah, the Barbera and a blend called “The Other” for reds. You’ll love the wines!
We’ve had plenty of room for everyone lately.
FUNDRAISER – Priscilla Copeland is putting on a “Sip and Shop” at the shop on Sunday, June 22nd from 2 PM to 4 PM. She will have a beautiful line of Sterling Silver Jewelry for sale and 100% of the proceeds will go to Habitat for Humanity. Please come by, have a glass of wine while you get something pretty for yourself and help out a worthy organization.
MUSIC – There is a little shake up on the music dates this month. On the first Saturday in June, when Bryne Donaldson would ordinarily play his sax for us, he has a real gig with Jay Soto in Temecula at a Jazz Festival. So he will play on the 14th instead. Then Bob Ravenscroft and Dwight Kilian will play on the 28th. You still get a chance to hear these great musicians twice in June but it will just be on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays rather than the 1st and the 3rd.
THANKS – We certainly appreciate Devin for showing us some of Alliance Beverage’s wines on Friday night and Ron for doing the same with some of Republic National’s wines on Saturday. And thank you for showing up and supporting us!
WINE TRIP – There is still that one spot available on the 3rd Annual Cave Creek Wines Wine Trip! We will be in Sonoma from July 25th thru the 28th. We’ll fly into and out of Oakland. We are staying at the Flamingo Resort in Santa Rosa. Cost for the weekend is about $800 person based upon double occupancy. A $400 deposit by cash or check will get you in on this fun trip.
OTHER – We have WiFi available in the shop if you’d like to use it. Just ask for the password.
We have a new edition of the publication called Arizona Vines and Wines. It has a lot of information and is beautifully done. Look for it by the cash register next time you check out.
