Hi all,
Have a safe and happy New Years Eve. And our best wishes for the upcoming year.
The first wine class of the year will be on January the 11th (not the 4th). We’re going to start the year with a BANG! The owner of Starry Night Winery (http://www.starrynightwinery.com/) will be in the shop to show us his wines. Craig Driml from Divine Wines has set up the presentation. He, Liza and I have picked the wines (the one white they make is a Sauvignon Blanc and rest will be a variety of reds) but I didn’t take any notes and I’m too old to remember which ones we chose. But I promise that I’ll let you know the exact wines in next week’s email newsletter.
Chef Jimmy of Scott’s Place will be catering the wine class that evening.
The presentation on the 11th will start promptly at 6:00 PM. Remember this “ain’t LA” (thank goodness) so don’t be late. The wine class costs $10 per person and all the featured wines are 10% off. For the money you get to try the wines during the wine class and compliment them with the best food at any wine class in the state. We have been having larger than expected crowds again so we are limiting attendance to 45 guests. Please don’t show up a minute or two before 6:00 PM and expect to get in.
We have WiFi available in the shop if you’d like to use it. Just ask for the password.
Please party responsibly,
Liza and Bob

Hi all,
Thanks to all of you that have made our shop and our wine classes such as success! And thanks to all of you for your gifts, your cards and your wishes. Our apologies for not addressing each one personally but I’m lazy and Liza is busy.
Thanks to Ron from Republic National for doing a great presentation last week. It was quite the way to finish the year. Again to judge from the sales, the wines were all a hit (with one exception). Some we have in stock all the time and the others we will be bringing in as space permits.
We’ve still got a couple bottles of Tobin James Chardonnay that have been signed by Toby. They’ll make a great present for a Chard or Tobin lover.
Over the Holidays we will be open on Monday, Dec 24th, but closed on Christmas. Then we’ll do the same thing the next week when we will be open on Monday, Dec 31st, but closed on New Years Day.
Have a great holiday season,
Liza and Bob

Hi all,
The last wine class of the year will be this Friday (December 21st). Thanks to all of you that have made them such as success! Apologies to you white wine lovers as Ron from Republic National is going to take us on a tour of California on the Zinfandel Highway. That means we are going to try six different Zins from six different regions. And just to make sure there is no confusion, these are all RED Zins.
The presentation will start promptly at 6:00 PM.
The Fine Wines and Facials was well attended and lots of fun. Thanks to Heather for putting it on.
Thanks to Jennifer and Janice from Young’s Market for doing a great presentation. Judging from the sales the wines were all a hit. Some we have in stock all the time and the others we will be bringing in as space permits.
We’ve still got a few bottles of Tobin James Chardonnay that have been signed by Toby. They’ll make a great present for a Chard or Tobin lover.

Hi all,
For those of you that have attended a few of our wine classes may remember Jennifer Iverson from several years ago. She is really knowledgeable about wines and does great presentations. Well, she has switched employers and is now with Young’s Market. And she is going to do the presentation this Friday, December 14th. She’s going to start with a real Champagne from Delamotte, then show us a great Napa Valley SB from Girard, then we’ll try a reasonably priced but good Merlot, then a really drinkable Cab from Avalon, follow that with the Lyeth Meritage and finish with a great blend from d’Arenburg called High Trellis. It should be great!
The presentation will start promptly at 6:00 PM.
We’re going to be hosting a Fine Wines and Facials this Thursday, December 13th at 6 PM. For $10 you get to drink some great wines and pamper yourself. Heather represents the Mary Kay products and will conduct the event. This is just in time for those Christmas presents you want to get for yourselves. Reserve your spot by calling her at 602 677-9535.
Thanks to Scott for doing another great presentation of some wonderful wines. And thanks to Chef Jimmy of Scott’s Place for catering the food, which was terrific, and giving Liza a break.
We’ve got a few bottles of Tobin James Chardonnay that have been signed by Toby. They’ll make a great present for a Chard or Tobin lover.
Thanks to everyone that offered to help with the POS software. Thankfully it is all fixed.
Over the Holidays we will be open on Monday, Dec 24th, but closed on Christmas. Then we’ll do the same thing the next week when we will be open on Monday, Dec 31st, but closed on New Years Day.
Keep smiling,
Liza and Bob

Hi all,
Ordinarily I like to start with what is most important to all of us and that is the Wine Class. Well, that is only the second most important thing this week. We need the services of a Microsoft Access guru to do some reprogramming on our POS software. The author went out of business a couple of years and told us “don’t call again.” HELP! Please contact me by email. Thanks in advance.
Scott Greenwold from Southern Wines is going to do the presentation this Friday, December 7th. He and I never had the chance to get together to decide on a theme or which wines to feature. So you’ll have to trust us that it will be good as his classes always are.
The presentation will start promptly at 6:00 PM. Remember this “ain’t LA” (thank goodness) so don’t be late. The wine class costs $10 per person and all the featured wines are 10% off. For the money you get to try the wines during the wine class and compliment them with the best food at any wine class in the state. Chef Jimmy of Scott’s Place is going to do his magic to give Liza a break this week. We have been having larger than expected crowds again so we are limiting attendance to 45 guests. Please don’t show up a minute or two before 6:00 PM and expect to get in.
Thanks to Tony from Billington Wines for showing us some of their South American wines. Not only were they reasonably priced but they were great. And the good news is that they are wines that we carry all the time.
We’re going to be hosting a Fine Wines and Facials on Thursday, December 13th. Heather represents the Mary Kay products and will conduct the event. This is just in time for those Christmas presents you want to get for yourselves.
