Yes there is going to be a Wine Class this week! Joey Kritzik from Republic Beverage is going to lead us through a blind tasting of half a dozen wines on Friday, November 3rd. We will be comparing an old world wine to a new world wine of the same varietal three different times. Nobody will know the wines before hand so you will have to rely on your senses to tell what you have. Remember that there is not a Saturday class. And you Riesling lovers mark your calendars for November the 11th. Lena is back to get you ready for Thanksgiving.

Rootdown is going to play again on Thursday, November 9th at 6 PM. If you like like live music you owe it to yourself to stop by and listen. They play a great style of blues inspired jazz improvisation. Their web site is www.rootdown-az.com.

We are going to sponsor an art show on Sunday, November 12th. We have several artists that have signed up already but there is room for a couple of more. If you are an artist and are interested in showing your work, please call Craig Driml at (866) 343-3900.

We’re going to host another Facials and Fine Wines on Thursday, November 16th. Heather will be helping you do a facial with Mary Kay products as you enjoy some great wines. The cost for the wine is $10 and the facial is free.

Leukemia and Lymphoma is going to do a food and wine pairing fund raiser on November 18. We’re still working out the details about time and cost and such but you can mark your calendars for that evening.

There will not be wine classes the weekend of October 27th and 28th. In fact I think we have finally learned our lesson and we will not be having Saturday wine classes ever again. Our apologies to those that have attended but the bottom line of a retail business is to make some money and it hasn’t happened with the Saturday classes.

Thanks to all of you that came in and listened to Scott and myself this weekend. Clearly Randall Graham and Bonny Doon are different! We hope you had fun.

Rootdown is going to play again on Thursday night, November 9th! If you haven’t heard them before be prepared to be blown away. They are great! You can check them out at their web site Rootdown-AZ.com. They will be starting at 6 PM and playing a couple of sets of jazz blues improvisation.

We are going to sponsor an art show on Sunday, November 12th. There is still room for a couple more artist, if you are interested in showing your work, please call Craig Driml at (866) 343-3900.

On October 13th he’s going to show us a modern version of a German Riesling, then a South African Chardonnay, an excellent New Zealand Pinot Noir from Kim Crawford, a California Petite Sirah, an Australian Shiraz and then we’ll finish with a Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile. Then I’ll do the same wines on Saturday, Oct 14th.

Hi all,

Yes there is going to be a Wine Class this week! Katie from Devine Wines is going to tell us about some new wines that their company represents on Friday the 6th. There is a Pinot Grigio from Italy, a French rose called Pink Flamingo, another French wine from the Rhone, a Shiraz from Australia and a Syrah from California and then a surprise (because I forgot what the last wine was). Then I’ll do the same wines on Saturday, Oct 7th.

We are going to sponsor an art show in November so if you are an artist please call Craig Driml at (866) 343-3900. We are not looking for retailers but artists.
